Coconut Palms Hotel Rules

NO SMOKING – NO PETS – NO CHILDREN – NO PARTIES

KEY DEPOSIT 1000 Baht

The SWIMMING POOL is for GUESTS ONLY

NO CHILDREN ALLOWED

More and more hotels are putting a ban — yes, a ban — on kids. And while they probably won’t advertise it on their web site’s homepage, some hotels are simply saying: No kids allowed. And it’s not just B&Bs. Hotels, Resorts and Inns of all shapes and sizes are enforcing minimum-age requirements to guarantee their guests a child-free experience.

There are a growing number of No Children hotels and resorts

See a very long list of NO CHILDREN ALLOWED hotels here

There are many reasons WHY we at Coconut Palms have changed our policy
to NO CHILDREN under the age of 16 years.

The main Issues are

  • Parents cannot or will not control their children in and around the swimming pool. Jumping, Splashing and Screaming at the top of their voices is extremely annoying to other guests.
  • Then there is the bed wetting on our very expensive mattresses.
  • Pulling the curtains down.
  • Drawing on the walls and bed sheets.
  • Soiled nappies left unwrapped in the bathrooms

There are many more reasons but we will leave it at that.

NO SMOKING – 1000 Baht Fine

Smoking is allowed OUTSIDE the rooms and many ashtrays are provided at all the tables and in the cabana area.

However we still occasionally get people smoking inside the rooms.
We cannot rent the room for days after a smoker has ignored this rule as the smell of smoke, stays in the carpets and curtains for days… Even with a powerful fan running in the room all day long, to try to get rid of the smell, the odor is still in the curtains and carpets.

SO BE WARNED – 1000 Baht fine if you smoke inside the rooms

SWIMMING POOL is for GUESTS ONLY

This is an obvious one but you would be amazed at how many guests think they can book a room and then invite members of their family, friends and children to enter the resort and use our pool.

We once had a couple that booked a room. Then two pick up trucks arrived with their relatives. I counted 11 adults and children – YES ELEVEN PEOPLE all in and around the swimming pool!

And it was only after they had destroyed our large 4 person pool ring and then tried to put our 13 foot long SUP Paddle boards in the pool (for use on the Nong Bua lake opposite) We had to evict them all, including the original two guests from the hotel.

NO PETS

Dogs and cats in the rooms is not allowed.

It is virtually impossible to get rid of the dog odor from the carpets.
Even after pressure washing several times, the disgusting smell lingers in the room for weeks and even months on end and the only option left for us is to throw the carpet away.

NO DRINKING PARTIES

We do not allow drinking parties because of the noise and uncontrollable attitude of drunk teenagers in and around the pool. This also applies to older guests, not just teenagers.
